Spirit’s weren’t dampened on Saturday as Cathy and Malc joined race-goer’s and braved the rain to watch the battle of the beers, with Banks’s piping Pedigree to the post during the fifth annual pint mascot race for Marston’s Beer Festival Race Day at Uttoxeter Racecourse.
The five pint mascots, including Pedigree, Wainwright, Ringwood’s Old Thumper, Banks’s and Jennings Cumberland Ale all ran for gold in the race. London Marathon runner, Natasha Pitman who currently is the Guinness World Record Holder for the ‘Fastest Female Bottle’, also joined the mascot race in her record breaking ‘Help for Heroes’ beer bottle outfit. Throughout the afternoon the animated pints were an instant crowd pleaser, even keeping everyone distracted from the rain with an impromptu dance-off!
