No words can express our sadness at the news below.
Craig was a massive and defining part of the Vital family for nearly 20 years. Our love and thoughts are with Kimberley, Rachel, Ted, Wilf and Lachlan.
The credits for his contribution would not do him justice, he was so much more than our Exec Creative Director. A friend, an ambassador, an agent for change, a teacher, a thinker, a mentor, an innovator, resident Star Wars authority, and importantly – fun. Oh, and sometimes a right royal creative pain in the butt.
He loved Vital’s hometown of Leamington Spa and his contribution here will live on.
Taken too early. Kimberley’s words below show a small insight of a wonderful man.
“Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those around you who transform into the force” – Yoda.
I’m sorry to share the news in this way but sadly Craig died peacefully the morning of Thursday 8th February at Myton Hospice. I am choosing to believe that he’s now at one with the force or equally, that he’s already started the rebrand of heaven. Either way, I’m glad he’s no longer in pain.
Some of you may have suspected Craig was battling with something and for some of you this may be a complete shock.
Craig said: “When I was first diagnosed with cancer in September 2019, I had a choice: to not let the disease define me or to be just another internet cancer guy.
“I chose the former – just a guy that happened to have a disease.”
Craig has done so much since his diagnosis. I’m in awe of his strength and positivity in the face of such a difficult battle. As I said at my wedding speech at our Vegas elopement in front of Elvis:
“Craig you find the beauty in everything, even when going through the darkest times you find the smallest shimmer of light.”
I’m going to focus on that quote because I think that’s what Craig would have wanted.
Craig will be greatly missed. Thanks in advance for all your love and support during this difficult time.
